We’ve spent so much time standing at airport carousels waiting for our ubiquitous black luggage to come rolling down the ramp, only to find that everyone else had the same luggage. I’ve been guilty of it too.  We all tend to overpack if we’re not absolutely certain of what we will need or what we should bring.  I’ve found that nothing helps with compacting those ‘extras’ than packing cubes.  I will put all of my tops in one, my bottoms in another and they take up much less room than if you were to place them directly into your luggage.  Is it better to pack less in the beginning?  Yes.  But this is a great compromise.

There are only so many things you can do in the tight confines of an airplane, bus or ship. We’ve always invested in a great Kindle tablet to store all of our favorite books and magazines. It allows us to break the monotony of a long trip by indulging in the latest NYT best-seller. It’s a fantastic way to pass the time.

At some point, you recognize the value in traveling light. Especially when it comes to electronic items. I love my Samsung Tablet, it allows me to surf the net, write articles, play games, spend time on social media, read news – it’s unparalleled when it comes to providing access to everything that you need to conduct business.
