A lot has been said about Chicago in recent years, the majority of it negative. When I think of Chicago, I remember walking across the Dearborn Street Bridge and watching the Chicago Skyline with my girlfriends as we embarked on another exciting day of adventure.
We spent four glorious days touring the city back in the summer of 2009. Many rides on the L Train took us to block parties that ended at two in the morning. Shopping sprees along the Magnificent Mile. Incredible fireworks displays at Navy Pier. And, of course, a stop at Gino’s East for a slice of deep dish pizza!

The highlight of the trip was Saturday evening where we had a farewell dinner of dim sum in Chinatown followed by an hour-long limo ride around Downtown.
Cruising down Lake Shore Drive, my friends and I chatted as we took pictures of the breathtaking sights. But nothing prepared us for the view that awaited us at the Adler Planetarium.
We had twenty minutes to take in the magnificence of the Chicago skyline at night! As ribbons of pink, orange, and purple descended upon the city, we were able to reflect on the fantastic time we had.
Til we meet again, Chi-town!
