Today’s photo is a little different. It started as a mystery. A couple of months ago, I was at work and I happened to look across the street and saw the weirdest thing ever! It seemed as if one of the buildings was wrapped in a sock!
After ascertaining that it was the Coca-Cola Building (it’s headquartered here in Atlanta), I had to do a little digging. I discovered that they were actually huge projection screens that had been installed to celebrate a milestone anniversary….their 125th!! Wow, had it been that long since Dr. John Pemberton created that wondrously frothy beverage laced with 9 mg of cocaine? My…..how time flies!! Anyways….they were planning something big. And it looked like this:

Well thats one way to celebrate an anniversary!
Yep and they certainly could afford it!
Pretty cool, Renee! That would have struck me as weird, too. Glad you took the photo!
Thanks, Cathy….I’m glad I had my iPod nearby…lol.
That is SO COOL! Is it up still or was it just for a day? (I’m going to Atlanta for a weekend in August to visit my best friend who moved there so want to see it.) Very cool shot and video.
I think it was up for a week, Mike….I don’t know why they took it down so soon because that video was pretty fantastic.
LOL I was literally looking for a sock somewhere…that is actulaly a cool concept. It’s like an interactive building.
Another fortune originally based on drugs…LOL.
What a neat idea!
Glad you caught it.
Wow – a cool way to celebrate their 125 years. Still going strong!!
Those bastards! They almost made me cry… again!! :’)
Great shot and find Renee! I anyone can do it Coke can.
Thanks for posting at Travel Photo Thursday.
Neat! 125 years, damn. That’s a long time to be in business!
That was very creative!
This is really great! It’s absolutely a best way for them to celebrate their anniversary. I can’t imagine how long the preparation of this fantastic huge projection screen. The video of it is pretty amazing!
