Today’s photo is from a local Renaissance Faire a few years back. It shows a musically inclined Scottish family performing for the crowd. I have to admit that the music was quite good and the girls’ footwork was impressive…..oh to be young again and be able to move like the wind….so I chose this pic because it brings a smile to my face when I look back on the day that was full of fun and merriment and the humongous turkey legs were quite tasty too!
This photo is part of the Travel Photo Thursday series which was started by Nancie M with Budget Travelers Sandbox.
I love Scottish dancing and bagpipes! The music is infectious and makes me want to get up and move to the music. Great fun!
I really enjoyed it and was halfway wishing that they had a cd for sale.
I have two left feet so I am always in awe of anyone who can dance – especially in public.Great shot.
Yeah, I wouldn’t have had the guts!
Beautiful photo 🙂
Thank you!
How fun! I think anytime there’s bagpipes and Scottish dancing, you know it will be a good time 🙂
Amen!
Fun memories. I haven’t been to a Renaissance Faire in years. You’ve inspired me to go again!
You should….the only complaint that I had was that it was so darn hot!
Love Scottish dancing, and you’ve caught them perfectly.
Thanks, Nancie!
Fun shot! My uncle (by marriage) is Scottish and wore a kilt to his wedding to my aunt. They even had bagpipes at the ceremony!
Bagpipes….definitely icing on the cake!
This looks like so much fun, though I would gladly have given you any turkey legs! We lived in Scotland for a few months and I loved the traditional dances they held. Some of the dancers were brilliant.
