Today’s photo was taken during my trip to Bar Harbor, Maine. We had taken a trolley tour of the beautiful and picturesque Acadia National Park.
This picture affected me because it was a gentle prod that, in the scheme of things, we are but a speck of lint floating around the universe.
That alone should be a wake-up call that we are no more important than anyone else no matter how much our sometimes over-inflated egos may beg to differ.
It takes the beauty of nature to remind us of that.

Its amazing how photos can have such and effect on people. They’re a powerful medium
Sometimes it is good to be reminded of just how ‘small’ we are and that we are no better or no worse than anyone else. Great picture and reminder of our place in this world.
Beautiful shot Renee. I’m from the east coast of Canada, so this scene is very familiar to me. Thanks for posting to Travel Photo Thursday.
Funny that I’ve been to Maine twice now (driven from St. Louis both times), but I still haven’t been to Acadia. Looks beautiful!
Very pretty! I like your existential caption too 🙂
Nature will always be bigger than man. This picture captured it beautifully.
Nice photo Renee,
I’m imagining that Atlantic ocean going all the way out to Europe. Endless.

Beautiful shot of the coastline in Maine! I went there many years ago with my family.
Great photo! I’ve not been to Maine but I’m much more of an East Coast girl so it’s always high on my list.
Did I miss something while I was away or did you change your theme? I love it, it’s so much fun.
Yes, I decided to change it for two reasons….to help with the loading time and I wanted something more fun and carefree. Glad you like it!
