Travel Photo Thursday – Paris, France

I am sitting in the cab taking in my surroundings when I look ahead and see a partial view of a tall spindle right in front of me. I am overjoyed to see one of the most iconic symbols of the city that I have loved for so long and finally get the opportunity to see in person. I knew that my first trip to Paris was going to be quite the experience.

We toured the city when we arrived via the L’Open Tour bus, which allows you to hop on or off at any point on the route. It gave us a nice overview of what areas/sights we should visit at length for the remainder of the week.

Our experience was phenomenal, it didn’t take long to understand why and how someone can hopelessly in love with this city.

I will admit that it’s almost ideal for a couple…the romance was palpable. We decided to maximize our stay by doing a daytrip in the Loire Valley where romantic castles are all the rage. We were thrilled to see the summer home of Leonardo da Vinci too.
