Where am I? Well, I was just as surprised as you might be to know that this is what the Honolulu International Airport looks like. It was a veritable oasis and it took us awhile to get to ground transportation after leaving baggage claim to see this. What a beauty!

Honolulu International Airport

When you see tropical foliage like this, you can’t help but imagine yourself on a lush island paradise alone or with the one you love and never coming back to civilization.  You would never suspect that this awe-inspiring scene is what you will see as soon as you exit the baggage claim at the Honolulu International Airport.  The funny thing about Hawaii is that it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that the place is going to be the equivalent of the promised land.

Until you lay your eyes upon it, you do not truly understand the gravity of the situation and the scope and depth of what that actually  means.    Oahu’s pristine, azure waters that varies over the course of a day from a pale to cobalt blue and an overabundance of rainbow colored bromeliads, hibiscuses, orchids and waterlilies is the perfect foundation for your own private utopia.  Yes, as soon as you touch ground, you will know instinctively, that you’re home.
